We’re NOT Organic – No UK Honey Can Be! ✨

Did you know? No honey produced in the UK can legally be certified organic. Yet, you’d be amazed how many people believe they’ve bought “organic” UK honey thanks to clever marketing tricks. Here’s the truth:
🐝 If it’s UK honey, it’s NOT organic.
For honey to be organic, every single nectar source the bees visit must be organic. That means a hive would need to sit in the middle of a 5-mile radius of untouched, organically managed land—ALL YEAR ROUND. This simply isn’t possible in the UK.
🔍 Many “organic” honeys you see in the UK are imported. Even those branded to sound local or British often list their origin as countries like Romania. For example, A well-known posh brand sold in an upmarket supermarket has been highlighted by several people to us as “organic UK honey.” However, the label small print on the back is clear it’s from Romania, not the UK.
💛 So, what about us?
Our honey ticks many of the other “organic” boxes:
We treat our bees with care and respect.
We only use approved mite treatments.
BUT we do not and will not claim to be organic because honesty matters.
📢 Why are we sharing this?
To help you understand the reality of UK honey and to shed light on misleading marketing. We’ve even posted before about how 90% of supermarket honey isn’t what you think it is. Check those labels carefully!
✨ Enjoy REAL, small-batch Edinburgh honey that’s as close to nature as you can get, where the bees Actualy Fly in Edinburgh, not else where in the world.
