❄️🍯 First Frost Meets Confused Seasons 🍯❄️

❄️🍯 First Frost Meets Confused Seasons 🍯❄️

Yesterday brought the first frost of the year, a hopeful sign of something resembling a normal winter. But as you can see, nature is a little… confused! Our raspberry canes are holding ripe fruit, shedding leaves for winter, and sprouting new growth like it’s spring – all at the same time.

It’s not just the plants feeling the effects; our bees are struggling too. The unusually warm lead-up to winter has kept them far too active, leading them to eat through their stores much faster than normal. This means we’ll be working hard to provide extra food to sustain them through the colder months.

Unfortunately, this year’s unseasonable weather has already impacted honey harvests, and the challenges of a changing climate are clear. Nature – our plants, bees, and ecosystems – is paying the price, and it’s a stark reminder of the responsibility we all share.

🐝 We still have a small stock of around 20 jars of honey available on our website – grab yours now before it runs out! 🍯 http://www.thesix.scot

Together, let’s protect the planet for the sake of the bees, the blooms, and the sweet moments we all treasure. 🐝🌍
